This is a brand new tiny house with a loft design, dramatic windows, and soaring ceilings. Due to its strategic location in the valley of the volcanoes it provides unmatched 360 degree views of the mountains and night sky. Isolated and at 3650m on a high flat plain it is within an exclusive and private 19 hectare reserve, yet only a 15min drive to the Cotopaxi National Park. On a clear day there are views of up to 7 volcanos. Enjoy a respite while keeping your COVID "bubble" intact. Pets Welcome.
Amenities include a full kitchen with gas range and oven, brand new BBQ outdoor gas powered grill, a full bath with super hot water, a chic vibe, plus a massive hearth with a brand new BOSCA wood burning stove for cozy evenings. In front there is a large outdoor patio and custom made fogota. The 19 hectares of pristine paramo (a high altitude landscape defined by tussock bunch grasses called Paja) is for you to explore.
In 2019 we voluntarily entered into a contract with Ecuador’s FONAGE Administration which obligates us to maintain the land at no less than 99% “compliance”--meaning 99% of the hectares must be seeded with only native plants/flora and fauna. In April 2021 we added an additional 500 plants (to the already seeded 1000 from 2020). In September 2021 we converted to solar power and the propane gas powered generator is now backup. Furthermore, no commercial agricultural or ranching activities are permitted (e.g. no cattle grazing). The 1% that is not compliant is the ~1 hectare for pasture for the visiting horse and/or the Alpacas. We are proud to contribute to the conservation of this beautiful location. This tiny house in Ecuador’s Andes mountains is perfect for families, friends and has max occupancy of 7 (plus pets!). A perfect refuge. Only 1.5 hours from Quito.
